 Alumni Relations

Global Women's Mentor Network

IUJ has created a community of Women graduates, current women students, and women planning to come to IUJ for their graduate studies.  The purpose of our Network is to support each other in our professional and academic lives through providing support, advice, introductions and friendship.

Alumni will be matched with current students, and current students with those planning to come into IUJ.

GWMN celebrated its 1st anniversary as part of International Women's Day in March with IUJ's new president Masakatsu Mori reaffirming IUJ's dedication to promoting the professional development of IUJ's lady students.

The program was officially launched on International Women's Day, March 8, 2009!  IUJ President Sugihara presented the logo to a large group of current women students in the symbolic opening ceremony!

In addition to the launch of IUJ's Global Women's Mentor Network, the IUJ Business school simultaneously announced a new scholarship for women in business fields to attend IUJ.  It was a great International Women's Day at IUJ.

About the Logo -

The new logo for the Global Women’s Mentor Program represents the world-wide network of IUJ women guiding each other into an exciting future.  With the first stroke of the letter “W” encompassing a globe, the last stroke of the “W” is reaching out to meet the opportunities that our network can help create and then carry them in that direction.  “The enthusiastic response from our women alumni to participate in this Mentor Program proved again how dedicated and powerful the IUJ Alumni network is,” said Gretchen Shinoda the Director of IUJ’s Alumni Relations and Career Services.  “Our alum’s willingness to support current IUJ women get a head start in their careers will make the IUJ experience even more unique and valuable.”
