What Happens to my E-Mail after I Graduate?

You can use your IUJ e-mail address to sending and receiving email messages after your graduation, However, your account access using Outlook/Web browser will be disabled on July 31(E-biz: Sep. 30), You will be offered only e-mail transfer service from August 1(E-biz: October 1). Please read the details as below:

  1. Your account access:
    You can logon to your e-mail account as usual until July 31. However your account access will be disabled on August 1.

  2. Email transfer service:
    IUJ will offer only the email forwarding service after your graduation. You may however, continue to use your @iuj email account for sending and receiving email messages, BUT only as an email forwarding service. Please enter your primary email address in the form on the alumni online directory. Please see (3) to learn how to do.

    Your email account and account access will be disabled unless you fill it in the form.

  3. Email transfer setting:
    You may not use "Forwarding" in the "Options and Styles" menu appeared in the web mail interace. Instead, however, it's simple to do. Please login to the alumni online directory at http://www.iuj.ac.jp/alumni/ and then enter your primary email address other than your IUJ email address in the form. Once you completed the form, any incoming messages to your IUJ email address will be transferred to the primary address from the next day when you entered.

  4. Abandoned account:
    If you do NOT set a transfer address by Sep. 30 (E-biz: Nov. 30), your account will be seen as an abandoned account and deleted.

  5. Stored Messages:
    Any email messages stored in your mail box will be entirely removed on August 1(E-biz: October 1).
