Students may have chances to apply for scholarships provided by the following foundations after they have enrolled and started classes at IUJ.  You are not able to apply before coming to campus and settling in here. Scholarship Information will be posted on the Office of Student Services bulletin board. The OSS staff will assist with the applications.  Many of the scholarships are provided by outside sources, and only administered by the OSS.  IUJ cannot guarantee these will be available every year, nor that an IUJ student will win the scholarship in the country-wide competitive process (except Type D).

・ Honors Scholarship (Monthly Stipend: 65,000 yen):
Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) provides a limited number of scholarships for international students who are fully or partially financed privately. Applications are accepted through IUJ with an IUJ recommendation after being enrolled at IUJ. Application period is between late September and mid October (with some possible exceptions throughout the year).

・ IUJ Alumni Sohei Nakayama Memorial Scholarship Type-D (Monthly Stipend: 100,000 yen):
This scholarship, provided by Alumni donations to the ThANKS Fund, provides a living stipend to students in the 2^nd year.  Successful applications with have already demonstrated campus leadership aimed at helping the IUJ community interact, and aimed at supporting IUJ-town relations in their 1^st year, and be committed to continuing in their 2^nd year and as an alum to strengthen the Alumni World-wide network..  Application period: May of their 1st year.

Notes on Conditions:

Japanese Skills required:  Levels of requirement vary.  Some are basic, but most require strong communication skills.  Some require the applicant to write their application documents in Japanese on their own.

Age Limitation: Some require applicants to be less than 30 or 35 years of age.  See specifics for each scholarship 

Specific Country:  Some scholarships provide only certain nationalities with support, and these often change year to year depending on the aim of the scholarship provider.  Please see their specific info on the links provided.
